Privacy Policy

FactsReady ("we") runs factsready.com. We built the Service to need as little personal data as possible. We have no user accounts and no customer database.
What stays in your browser
- Your recipe and label inputs are kept in your browser's local storage so you don't lose your work. They are not sent to us while you edit, except as described below.
- The project file (.json) you can download is saved on your device. We don't keep a copy.
You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or deleting the file.
What reaches our servers
- Ingredient searches. When you search for an ingredient, the search text goes to our server. Our server forwards it to the USDA FoodData Central API, so USDA sees our server's request, not your IP address. Results may be cached.
- Exports. When you download paid files, your browser sends the label inputs and a payment reference to our server. The server checks the payment with our payment processor, generates the files, and returns them. We don't store your label inputs after the files are generated.
- Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request times to deliver and secure the site. It may keep this data in logs for a limited period.
Payments
- Payments are handled by our payment processor, Waffo. Waffo collects your payment details and email address under its own privacy policy.
- We receive the payment status and the transaction details our payment processor provides. These include the email address you entered at checkout and a reference code that identifies your label, not its contents.
- We use this information to verify purchases, allow the 7-day edit window and 30-day re-downloads, handle refunds and meet accounting obligations. We do not keep a copy of your label.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
- We don't use advertising trackers. We do not use analytics, advertising, or error-tracking pixels.
Cookies
The Service uses browser local storage for your project. After a paid download, this site sets one HttpOnly cookie named `os105_edit`. It holds the payment time, a payment reference, and the original label reference. It does not hold your recipe. It expires 7 days after the payment. Checkout pages run by our payment processor may set their own cookies.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact hello@factsready.com. Because we keep very little, most requests concern records held by our payment processor, and we'll help you with those.
Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
